My Anxiety

Heart pounding –
Too loud, too fast.

Breathe.
It will pass.

I know.
I know –
It hurts.
It feels like it won’t end.

Breathe.
It’s just temporary.

Hold me tight.
Hold me close.
I’ve got you.

Keep breathing –
Slow, deep breaths.
Let the air in.
Let it out.

Focus on this moment –
Just this breath.

I know it’s overwhelming,
But it will pass.

Before you know it,
It has passed.
