Where I Needed to Be
A storm of change is drawing near,
I can feel it in my core.
Fear and uncertainty in the air,
Like a dam breaking, chaos floods,
Terror spreading and uncertainty everywhere.
I can see it instantly surrounding me.
Turbulence swirls with the clouds above,
Lightning and disorder drench me.
Plans slip away, designs unravel,
Unrecognizable in their shift-
Ideas racing, untamed, now running wild.
Fixing the sails is pointless now,
The waves are pulling me somewhere different,
Somewhere I never planned to go,
To unexpected shores, unknown, uncharted.
A voyage to distant destinations,
A journey I never saw coming.
To a place I needed to be,
To a destination I was meant to travel to.
